Today I turned the big 4-0. And I can honestly say I've never been happier. This year has been filled with sacrifice, more hard work, and learning. Last week I wrote about my lessons learned as an entrepreneur. If you'd asked me ten years ago if I thought I'd be where I am today, I wouldn't have been so sure. My late 20s were marred by poor health, bad decisions, bad relationships, and well, a lot of bad choices. As I entered my 30s, I decided it was time to "woman-up" and own my life. Here are some highlights.
I got fit. (It sure was about time!)
I then trained for marathons and completed four of the World Majors: London (2009), Chicago (2009), New York (2011), and Berlin (2013).
I got married in August 2009 to a great man.
I gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Ally Rees Mehnert in December 2010. (Picture - Summer 2011)
And we had our 20 year high school reunion. 20 YEARS!
I leaped out of corporate life (2014) into my own thing and I'm cancer free.
