We have a serious problem we need to address.
It's called self-esteem. You've probably seen some of the stats from Dove and others that our women and girls do not portray a healthy self-image. Did you know only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful (up from 2% in 2004)? (Wow, that's 96% who don't?)
The result of an unhealthy self-esteem manifests into so many different things ranging from eating disorders to smoking to alcohol abuse...and the list goes on. If you have a daughter, wife, mother or friend who needs to hear she's worth it, have her take a look at this. It's a beautiful song and video I got to see debut last week at BlogHer14. The Mrs. is an all-female rock band from Austin, Texas. Their debut single, Enough, was written to help women see themselves with a less critical eye, and realize that they are Enough just the way they are. Check out this great video and share it.

Their music is about juggling careers, marriage, motherhood, and friendships, while still trying to maintain identity. We don’t have a lot of time for self-reflection, so fostering a connection is a real need they decided to address with their songs.
I've added it to my iPod.
Even I need to hear this message. If you like it please tweet and share it. The world of women out there that needs to know "I'm Enough". For more, visit the band's website.
