Taking on something, anything….is no simple task.
Just when you think you’re done with one crunch, there’s another one waiting for you (and at times it feels like its 10X heavier than the last load.) I call that a punch. Sometimes it’s a punch to the face or the stomach, but a punch is hard. It can sometimes knock the wind out of your sails.
Getting a punch to your ego can produce a bruise. But you’re made for more.
Throwing punches is what the weak do. The strong move beyond.
They bend, not break.
Have a dream or desire for something great? Taking on something bigger than yourself is hell. Thank you for caring about something. This world is so much better for your desires. But when you want it bad enough, you push through the burn. Despite all the odds, issues, and noise…just push.
There are miles in this marathon of life where you glide downhill and enjoy the experience. Your pocket is full, your pride is high, and you are unstoppable. Not really. You become unstoppable and a force of nature when the clouds roll in and the potholes trip you and cause you to fall face forward into the earth. Because instead of running from the rain or crying because you didn’t get your way, you get up and you try again.
When you want it, taste it, see it, feel it and are creating it, you get your ass up, and push through the burn.
Never forget that you have what it takes to be great. It’s a choice.
